Belleville Rendez-Vous: Scenes 2-6

Like the new layout? It's not finished just yet, but the font and colours is kind of like how I would like to re-design Tea N Crumpets if I ever get around to it. Moving on, as promised, here's a load more screen caps from Belleville Rendez-Vous. The shots I showed you yesterday were just from the first scene with is completely detached from the rest of the film in terms of style. get ready for a collection of brilliantly grotesque character designs and beautiful scenery shots that really make the film one of a kind. Well, until Choet completes his next film, that is. The line art is rather sketchy in places, much like Disney's 60s-7s Xeroxed films, only in this the effect is much less distracting and actually benefits the film.

This shot really needs to be seen moving. It's the only animation in the film hat is used more than once , but has amazing dimension to it. Screen shots just don't do it justice.

Holy hell, look at those legs!

Now my favorite characters in the entire film appaer: the Mafia henchmen!

Took me some time to notice that the old girl actually only has one platform on her boots. HA.

Even the modes of transport don't get away from being excaudated into crazy proportions:
That's your lot for today. I may post some more tomorrow. I also have Tokyo Godfathers and Dead Leaves on my list of things to screen cap the hell out of. I could do Mind Game as well, actually. All in due time.
